Laval offering ‘One child, one tree’ program again

The City of Laval is accepting new registrations for its ever-popular Un Enfant, Un Arbre tree planting program. According to the city, the tree being offered this year is a sugar maple (Acer saccharum).

To be eligible for the program, which provides a tree each time a child is born, you must be a Laval resident, with a child who was born or adopted from June 2017 to June 1 2018, with proofs of birth and residency.

Registration is mandatory and the deadline is June 1. A form can be filled out online at laval.ca. The city’s special events office can also be contacted at 450 978-6888, local 5249. The trees will be given out on Sunday June 10 at Laval city hall.
