Mother Teresa Junior High School
Photography Contest at MTJHS
Our Accelerated Learning Program Students participated in a Photography contest as part of their French class. The theme that their photos were based on was; BEAUTY. Students explored the different hidden facets of beauty. Students were asked to use their photographer’s “eyes” to capture moments and/or scenes of beauty in everyday life found in nature, within family circles, with friends, a loved one of objects of sentimental value. In addition, the students were asked to write a caption describing the way their photo depicted beauty in their eyes. The following are the names of the student winners in this contest:

Learning Through Giving at Mother Teresa Junior High School
We are pleased to announce that our Christmas Community Breakfast had a great turn out this year. It has been a great opportunity to meet our community while sharing the Holiday Spirit. Thanks to the joined efforts of MTJHS’ students, staff and MTJHS Parent Participation Organization we are pleased to announce that we have fundraised over 4500$ to the profit of The Missionaries of Charity and Dans la rue!
We would like to thank especially our sponsor Air Canada Maintenance and Engineering for their donation of airline tickets opened anywhere in North America, including Mexico and the Caribbean’s which were raffled off during the Community Breakfast. We are happy to announce that the winner of those tickets is MTJHS’ own Mrs. Irene Politis, GHC teacher.
This is yet another example of how students and staff at MTJHS exemplify their values of GIVING and CARING.
