  • On May 6 around 9:30 p.m. on de la Station St. in Chomedey, the Laval Police arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with a break and entry at a nearby flower, plant and landscaping business.

  • A male motorcyclist heading out from a garage onto Curé Labelle Blvd. sustained a fatal head injury last week when his vehicle slipped and tumbled on the pavement because one of the tires hadn’t been properly broken in after being replaced.

  • On May 9 around 5:30 p.m. on des Laurentides Blvd., a 78 year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries when she lost control of her car and collided with several other vehicles after she had a heart attack.

  • On May 10, members of the Escouade régionale mixte (the ERM is a regional police unit that includes the Laval Police) conducted a series of raids on the North Shore to deal with a narcotics ring. The ring had been under investigation since January.

  • On the night of May 8, patrolmen with the Laval Police Department arrested Sébastien Tremblay as a suspect in the torching of a shed on Magnan St. in Sainte-Dorothée.

  • The Laval Police are looking for information to help identify three suspects who were involved in a home invasion on Saint-Luc St. in Pont-Viau on Feb. 7.

  • On the weekend of April 27 to 30, a break and entry incident at a warehouse at 4583 Lévesque Blvd. East was compounded with the theft of $200,000 in high-end carpeting.

  • On May 1, the Laval Police acted on information received through their citizen tip line and, after opening an investigation, conducted raids at two addresses in Chomedey: on Trépanier Ave.

  • On April 28 around 10 p.m., a 65-year-old male resident of 62nd Ave.

  • On April 29, the windows and front door of Fabre MNA Michelle Courchesne’s riding office were vandalized with red paint.
