Conference: To be an Eco responsible citizen

On Wednesday November 23rd 2011 at 7:30 p.m. the city of Laval has extended an invitation to all its residents to a seminar on becoming an ecologically responsible citizen. The presentation is scheduled at the Laval Maison des arts located on 1395 de la Concorde Ouest Boulevard. The conference, given by Sidney Ribaux from Équiterre, will demonstrate the virtues and importance of becoming ecologically responsible citizens. He will also offer many ideas of actions that we can take as individuals and as a group for a better development of our ecosystems. While the admission is free registration is mandatory by calling the 311 info phone line.
The Equiterre organization’s goal is to build and move the social consciousness into behaviors that encourage individuals, organizations and governments to make ecological and sustainable choices. Everyday choices we all make in regards to food, transportation, housing, gardening, shopping are opportunities to change the world, one step at a time. Through consulting, awareness-raising promotions and research projects they offer concrete solutions to promote human and environmental health, social justice and community development at home and abroad.
