The city of Laval became owner of a property situated on 3664 Saint-Elzéar Boulevard West last May. The property was purchased as part of an appropriation of lots to enlarge this boulevard as well as construct a new road serving the area. The initial contract signed in May 2011 gave ownership to the city as of that date however it would occupy and possess the property on August 30th 2011. The sellers was allowed to remain in the home till the date of possession as long as they were willing to assume all running costs for electricity, heating and general maintenance of the property.
The seller Mrs. Kopkeo Thepsourinthone wishes to extend the occupation of the home in light of the fact that the renovation for the enlargement of the boulevards is not scheduled to begin till April 2012. The executive has agreed to offer to rent the property to the seller at a cost of $900 a month till the 1st of April 2012 when the first phase of construction the displacement of common utilities is scheduled.
