On August 23, Monday morning, Laval police discovered four of their trailers located at the shooting range facility, were burnt to the ground. According to Laval police Lt. Daniel Guerin the trailers must have been torched sometime between Friday night and Sunday night. The fire would not have been visible from the street since the trailers are located in a isolated quarry on Montée Masson in the St-François district of Laval.

The area is also used by both Laval and Montreal policemen for diverse target practices including simulations of different real-life situations.
“This criminal act directly targets the Laval and Montreal police forces”, said Lt. Daniel Guerin.
Based on Guerin’s information the trailers contained only some desks and chairs, no weapons nor amunition.
Still it is estimated that the damage will surpass the $100 000 mark.
