across the city.
Duties of Le Service
de protection des
citoyens during
crime prevention
week include:

the public about
the importance of
prevention
2. Encouraging citizens
to learn about

The officers will meet
directly with citizens to educate them on all forms of crime prevention. More specifically,

against seniors, and how to avoid them. They will also educate youth on the dangers
of internet fraud, the danger of cloned credit and debit cards, and avoiding identity
theft concerning individuals.
All citizens are invited to visit to the information booth to learn about the most
effective ways to protect themselves from the activities of criminals. Representatives
from the l’Association québécoise des droits des retraités (AQDD) and Bank of
Canada will also be present at Carrefour on November 5 and 6.
