Vimont Liberal MNA Vincent Auclair has announced that the the long-term care facility CHSLD de Laval Vigi l’Orchidée blanche will be receiving $316,720 this year to maintain and upgrade its buildings and to improve its equipment.
Repairs and maintenance
The announcement follows up on one made last September by Quebec Health and Social Services Minister Dr. Yves Bolduc. The money will be used to carry out repairs and maintenance not only on the buildings, but also the equipment and furnishings within.
“These investments in the health and social services network attest to the good will of our government to support the economy with a healthy program of investment, while also supporting the activities of Quebec’s health establishments,” Auclair said in a statement.
Meeting the needs
“The sums invested will allow the practioners to work in an environment that functions better, and that is pleasant and stimulating, while also offering to patients a place where the care has been improved and which is responsive to their needs.”
The funding was made available through the Quebec Infrastructure Plan, whose aim is to ensure the sustainability of public installations and infrastructure across the province. The money is in addition to possible future health sector investments to be made by Quebec in new construction, building expansion, or new medical equipment.
